Who we are
A home first. Then a future.
Zion Restoration Orphanage & Less Privileged began with a simple refusal: that a child's life should not be decided by what their family could not afford.
We care for orphaned and vulnerable children in Douala, and we do one thing above all else — we keep them in school. Not for a term, not until the money runs out, but through primary class, through secondary, through high school, and for those who reach it, through university.
A child who is fed but not taught is being kept alive, not raised. We are trying to raise them.

Back to School Support Programme
Every September the same thing happens: a child who was in class in June does not come back, because the fees could not be found. This programme exists to stop that.

Our mission
To care for orphaned and less privileged children in Douala, and to keep every one of them in education — paying the fees, providing the materials, and standing behind them from their first class to their last.
Our vision
A Cameroon where no child is out of school because of what happened to their family. Where an orphan finishes secondary school as a matter of course. Where the question asked of a poor child is what they are good at, not whether they can pay.
